Fashion Advice

(Pre-script: To get the most out of this post, possibly including but not limited to a dose of wardrobe savvy, you'll want to read it as the song " Superman," by Five for Fighting plays. Go down to the playlist, click on the song, then come back and resume reading. I'll wait...) (...still waiting...)

If Derek ever asks me what he should wear, I like to say something like "how about the breastplate of righteousness?"

He laughed the first couple times...but now I think it's just getting old.

As for the rest of you...feel free to direct your fashion questions to the comments section of this post. I will do my best to give a swift and appropriate response.*

-XOXO,

My most recent blog is about fashion. You didn't comment on it. That made me sad.

Should I continue to wear clothing I bought at least 5 years ago and hope it becomes retro, or opt for something new? (and if so, who'd like to pay for my new wardrobe?)

Kevin: you didn't ask, but since you left a comment, I'll advise you, anyway...My fashion advice for you is to just keep listening to the hip young girls in your life who give you fashion advice. Take them shopping with you when you can, too. It's been working for you.

Dustin: I like where you're going with the retro thing...I think that the clothes you bought five years ago will be retro in about 10-15 more years, though, not yet. So hold onto them. In the meantime, just concider yourself way, way ahead of the trend.
If you decide to buy new clothes instead, no worries, the government will be happy to pay for your new wardrobe.
Peace.

I'm so glad that styles come back. I think (possibly) my only suit is from the mid '90's - so I should be close to having that one come back around, right?

I guess I should get out more.

Derek, no, you really just need a new suit.
