Second child, first son will be 7 years old tomorrow, August 24, 2008.
Happy Birthday, Jeremy Michael.
I love your fantastic comedic timing, your wit and dry humor. I love your tender heart. I love that when I ask you questions, you give me very concrete, logical answers, like when I asked what kind of birthday cake you wanted, and you said that you definitely did not want a grape flavored cake. I love that when I look at your olive skin and blonde hair, I am always amazed that you came from this naturally pale, pale mother. You are a complex, unique, masterpiece. You are a treasured gift.

"...and in the mornin', I'm makin' waffles..."
(Actually, I'm making pancakes with cinnamon and a liberal amount of vanilla...and not a blueberry in sight...because birthday boy doesn't like blueberries.)
