"One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do..."(a sing along post)

I'd like to give a shout out to all of my friends who didn't want to go to the beach today. I know that you had really good reasons. So I took the kids "all by myself" and the song of my heart went something like this...

(to be sung to the tune of Kelly Clarkson's "Behind these hazel eyes."):

"Here I am, once again, I'm torn into pieces; can't deny it, won't pretend just thought you were the one (who would come to the beach with me today) broken up, deep inside, but you won' t get to see the tears I cry...behind these greenish eyes..."

Oh, I kid, I kid!
There were no tears shed. The ocean was gorg. The weather was dreamy. As soon as we pulled up to our perfect, couldn't be better parking spot, a school of dolphins swam past, right in front of us. You see, my friends, this was God's way of providing entertainment for my kids while I struggled to get our supplies out of the car "all by myself..." which was an extra bonus cardio workout for me! Goody goody gumdrops! But once we found our spot, we had a fantastic time. Well, as fantastic a time as you can have without friends. In other words, we missed you.

i was here

where were you?

this post is all in good fun, kids... all in good clean fun.

I wish I lived close to the beach! Glad you had fun even if no one could come along.

You've got way more energy than me. I'm glad you had a good time. I can't imagine taking my two kids to the beach on my own. I'm sure it was a beautiful place to play....and look for sea glass. =)

I am so glad that you had fun, Michelle! It's nice to do stuff like that and realize we have the strength to do it! We think it'll be nightmarish, as we usually prepare ourselves for the worst. The worst is often not what it ends up being! I'm sure it was MUCH cooler than the park. I'm glad you went! (not to say that I'm glad you weren't with us, I'm just glad you did what you wanted!)

We missed you, too! And it was definitely cooler where you were! I'm sure our footprints in the sand will come together again, la la la... I'm not sure what tune to put that to.

No beach glass that I could see :( But, we did see dolphins :) and dead jelly fish! LOL! Overall, its an amazing beach. I think Dan, Jake and I are going to camp there sometime. They have a campground practically on the beach.

Jacob has been asking me to go back so we'll probably go back soon.
( I also really enjoy the drive, its SO pretty)
