This morning's prayer

Lord, that the dryer would be fixed...
It has been a faithful servant for 8 years now so it's probably getting up there in dryer age but this mama was not prepared for it to suddenly decide to quite right in the middle of my beach laundry, with a washer full of wet, clean towels just fixin' to mildew...
Add to that the fact that the peeps around here continue to wear clothes no matter how I encourage them otherwise, they just INSIST on being decent in public and there are A LOT of them and they are not always meticulous with keeping the dirt and grime off of themselves, they prefer to actually play and live life and get dirty...
And the rest of the prayer is a bunch of sighs and groaning too deep for words...

But Derek.
I called him all atwitter about the dryer sitch, and do you know what he said? This is not a direct quote mind you but it was something like "I've been on Craig's list all morning looking for a good deal, and some things look promising...and I'm about to email a guy right now..."
Even so Lord Jesus, bless this man.
Just heep it on.
For he rocks.
Amen.

That's awesome how your man was already on a mission for you! Isn't it neat how the Lord works things out that way?!

Just as we wives are aware that life is just good when we keep our men happy, he is smart enough to know the other part of that! :) It amazes me when things like that happen (dead oven months ago) how I become so aware of how I rely on it. Suddenly I craved baked goods even more than usual because I couldn't make them! :) I had to rethink and consider what the other 80% of the world probably does without an oven! We can survive! And, I have a front load washer and dryer you are welcome to use as much as needed. You can wash a yak in there! We're camping this weekend, so you won't bother anyone! There are cookies in the pantry- and chocolate! :)
